Silicon Valley-based automaker Tesla Motors plans to add a four-door sedan that will be targeted at the BMW 5-Series, according to Pistonheads. The new sedan will be entirely electric, with front mounted motor and batteries, and rear-wheel drive, said Tesla VP Mike Harrigan.

Automaker Tesla Motors had sold the entire initial production run of 100 Signature models of its all-electric sports car, according to company officials. A team of designers from Group Lotus have played key roles in the development of the Tesla Roadster.
