General Motors reportedly asked its Buick dealer network if they’d like their own version of the large rear-wheel drive Holden Statesman sedan that will be sold in China next year. Surprisingly, the Buick dealers weren’t interested, according to Automotive News.

Bob Lutz, General Motors’ product czar, unofficially confirmed that the Holden VE Commodore (shown) would be coming to the States as the Pontiac G8 at the Detroit Auto Show.
