Volvo is reportedly considering a new flagship vehicle, according to a report in Autocar magazine. But don’t expect Volvo’s new flagship to be a sedan larger than the new S80. Instead, Volvo says a wagon or crossover is likely to be the brand’s new flagship model.

Volvo has confirmed that its is developing a hybrid electric plug-in version if its C30 hatchback. A prototype of the C30 plug-in hybrid may compete in November’s Michelin Challenge Bibendum in Shanghai.

Ford’s CFO Don Leclair has announced that the automaker expects its struggling Premier Automotive Group (PAG) to turn a profit this year. Ford’s PAG consists of the Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover, and Aston Martin brands.
