Project Kimber, the British-based consortium planning to revive the discontinued Smart Roadster using the AC name, has released the first sketch of the roadster. Instead of simply rebadging the smart Roadsters and Coupes as ACs, the company has decided to reskin the smart Roadster.

As part of DaimlerChrysler’s unveiling of the new smart fortwo, the automaker released a collection of interior and exterior design sketches of the new fortwo.
The new smart fortwo will go on sale in Europe beginning in April 2007, with sales in the U.S. starting in early 2008.

Project Kimber, the U.K. group that bought the rights to the smart roadster, is planning to build a new version with the help of famed McLaren designer, Gordon Murray.
