Rolls-Royce has said that it expects its new “baby Rolls” to double the brand’s output when it debuts in 2010. Rolls-Royce CEO Ian Robertson expects that the brand will double to 1,600 units.

Starting in 1970, The Peninsula Hong Kong has used Rolls-Royce cars exclusively for its guests, with the hotel’s first order for seven Silver Shadows. Rolls-Royce has just added 200 new employees to meet growing demand from China for its ultra-luxury Phantom. The 200 new jobs takes the workforce at Rolls-Royce’s Goodwood factory to 700 employees. Ian Robertson, Rolls-Royce’s chief executive, said that China is now Rolls-Royce’s third-biggest market, behind the U.S. and U.K.

Rolls-Royce has revealed that it’s begun working on their long-awaited “baby Rolls-Royce”, which it expects to have ready within the next four years. The new Rolls-Royce will be smaller than the Phantom and cost between 200,000 Euros and 300,000 Euros.
