The first Mercedes-Benz G-Class unveiled in 1979 was designed predominantly with tough off-road terrain in mind, and its looks are essentially unchanged since its launch. Mercedes-Benz officially confirmed it will finally build a convertible version of the McLaren SLR. Mercedes-Benz originally revealed the Vision SLR coupe at the 1999 Detroit Auto Show, with the SLR Vision roadster (shown) following nine months at the 1999 Frankfurt Motor Show.
