Lexus announced that it will increase the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) for the ES 350 luxury sedan.
The MSRP for the ES 350 will increase by $300, 0.9 percent, to $33,470. The new price will take effect with ES 350’s that at Lexus dealerships on, or after January 2, 2007.

Last month we reported that Lexus was reconsidering its L-Tuned lineup of vehicles to compete with Mercedes’ AMG and BMW’s M cars in the performance luxury market. The rumor was that while previous L-Tuned vehicles focus more on cosmetic changes, this time the focus would be on performance.

Toyota reported it best-ever November sales of 196,695 vehicles, an increase of 15.9 percent from November 2005. Year-to-date Toyota’s sales are up 12.5 percent from the same period in 2005.

Lexus may be ready to give its failed L-Tuned sub-brand a new lease on life, according to AutoWeek. L-Tuned debuted in 2000, as Lexus’ factory tuning arm, but disappeared in 2003. Now Lexus’ U.S. executives are pressing Japan to give L-Tuned another chance.

According to AutoExpress, Toyota is finally preparing a replacement for its long-discontinued Supra. The new Supra is expected to draw its inspiration from the forthcoming Lexus LF-A supercar.
