The South Korean government decided not to pursue an indictment against the president of Kia Motors Corp., Chung Eui-sun, stemming from the probe into a cash-for-favors scandal involving the Hyundai Motor group.

Hyundai and its subsidiary Kia have decided to delay introduction of hybrid car offerings by more than a year, according to the Korea Times. The first Hyundai and Kia hybrids were originally planned for late 2007, but now aren’t expected until early 2009.
