Audi announced it would recall 36,000 units of its full-size A8 sedan around the world because of a problem with the driver-side airbag. The driver-side bag may not fully deploy during a crash. While still providing some protection, they do not offer as much as planned.

Toyota Motor will recall 20,069 Crown sedans made in China at its Tianjin FAW Toyota Motor joint venture with the Chinese FAW Group. Ford announced on Thursday that it will recall 1.2 million trucks, sport utility vehicles and vans today amid concerns of potential engine fires caused by the cruise control switch. Last September, Ford recalled 3.8 million pickups over the same concern.
