BRENTWOOD, Essex, 6 March, 2007 — Prices for the new Ford C-MAX have been revealed today. They start at £12,995 (RRP on the road) for the Studio 1.6-litre 100PS and rise to £19,045 for the 2.0TDCi 135PS top-of-the-range Titanium.
The latest Ford C-MAX features a redesigned front end which includes design elements from the Ford S-MAX, and blends these elegantly with the established C-MAX shape to create a more sporty and desirable vehicle.
The most distinctive feature of the new front design is the new trapezoidal lower grille which combines with a new upper grille, headlamps and three-plane shape to reinforce the sporty stance of the new C-MAX.
Technologies for Style and Comfort
The new Ford C-MAX features a host of new technologies to enhance both style and comfort.
Bold new headlamps emphasise high technology and high visibility. When Bi-Xenon lamps are specified, a distinctive light strip runs along the top line of the lamp unit and replaces conventional parking light bulbs. These strips feature light blue illumination which adds an extra dimension to the vehicle’s overall appearance.
The standard LED tail lamps are a first for Ford and add to the stylish contemporary appearance of the new Ford C-MAX. The use of LEDs provides a strong graphic pattern of dots which, when lit, makes the car immediately recognisable from a distance.
Cost of ownership is enhanced on the new C-MAX, which features integrated indicators in the door mirrors on high series models plus power fold. When folded, they reduce the likelihood of damage in tight parking situations.
A new feature for C-MAX is an optional panorama glass roof which makes the spacious interior even more airy. Covering almost the entire roof area and maximising light and visibility, but dark-tinted to avoid glare, it has internal blinds that can be closed to provide shade and privacy when required. The panorama roof has a “Solar Reflect” coating to minimise heat intrusion, thus providing a comfortable interior climate that adds to safe vehicle operation.
For portable audio connectivity, a 3.5mm socket is standard equipment and is conveniently located in the centre console. Standard MP3 players can easily be connected to the audio system.
An all-new design for the optional Sony in-car entertainment system is integrated seamlessly into the new centre stack. These high-end systems are available with CD player or integrated six-CD changer.
Desirable options such as Key-free entry, Bluetooth and DVD navigation are also new for C-MAX customers. Blue tinted glass is available on the Titanium series, lending even more style and sparkle to the ‘modern techno’ personality of this top-of-the-range model.
Sport packs are also available for the first time including an alloy-wheel upgrade, sports suspension, sports seats, a three-spoke steering wheel and a body coloured spoiler.
