Spy Shots: 2008 Porsche 911 out undisguised again

As can be seen from this undisguised prototype, Porsche’s facelifted 911 is almost ready for production, but we will likely have to wait until the Frankfurt Motor Show this fall.
Up front, the 911 gets a restyled front bumper with larger, more aggressive air intakes inspired by the 911 Turbo and new headlmaps. Out back, is a reshaped rear bumper, and new LED taillamps. The interior is expected to get a few revisions.
The big news is out back where new direct-injected versions of the 3.6L and 3.8L engine reside. The new engines are expected to result in a minor horsepower bump and better fuel economy. The new 911 is rumored to feature Porsche’s first DSG gearbox.

Typical 911 improvements, but it looks sweet. Now, if I could only afford one.
