February 22, 2007 7:22PM by Michael Savio
As we showed you last week, Mercedes working on a minor facelift for its SLK roadster, which is likely to feature triangle bars below the F1-inspired nose. As for the F1-inspired nose, it will no longer drop below the grille and cut into the bumper. Out back, the SLK will be sporting a reshaped bumper and a new set of taillamps.
The interior of the prototype was covered up, so it’s likely to be in store for a few changes. However, the SLK is expected to continue to use the current powerplants.
The facelifted SLK is scheduled to debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show this year, and is expected to launch in 2008 as a 2009 model.
