Spy Shots: 2008 Mercedes C-Class Wagon
February 19, 2007 5:35PM by Michael Savio
Last week, we had shots of the new C-Class Sportcoupe, now we have shots of a lightly camouflaged prototype of the all-new Mercedes C-Class wagon. When we last saw the C-Class wagon, it was still heavily disguised, but much of the camo has been peeled off.
While the recently spotted Sportcoupe will ride on the current platform, the new C-Class wagon will ride on the same architecture that underpins the brand new C-Class sedan. Since the wagon rides on the same platform as the sedan, expect the wagon to offer the same range of 4-cylinder and V6, gas and diesel powerplants, with the 6.2L V8 for the AMG model.
Mercedes will bring the all-new C-Class sedan to the Geneva Motor Show next month, but we will likely have to wait until the Frankfort Motor Show in the fall before Mercedes is ready to unveil the wagon version.
