Despite rumors that the next Subaru Impreza would not be available in WRX or sedan models, Subaru has confirmed that both the extremely popular WRX and the sedan model will be offered.

Michael McHale, Subaru’s Director of Corporate Communications, told Autoblog that the WRX is safe and will be available after the launch of the new Impreza. He also said that sedan variants would be available as well.

Subaru will unveiled the redesigned Impreza at the New York Auto Show in early April. At this time, there is no confirmation of the rumor that the STi model won’t arrive until 2008.
