The barrage of Skyline GT-R spy shots continues. In the last week, the Skyline GT-R has turned up in New Mexico, then it was in Los Angeles (and again in L.A.), now Nissan has brought the Skyline GT-R up the coast to just north of San Francisco for some track testing.

The Nissan Skyline GT-R and its team of engineers were headed to Infineon Raceway at Sears Point in Sonoma to fine tune the car’s suspension. Based on the number of tire changes, Nissan’s engineers were likely testing wheel and tire specifications for production. The GT-R’s ever-present 911 Turbo was there and performed a handful of test laps to set a benchmark for the GT-R. Edmunds reports that hand-timing showed the two cars circling the track in nearly identical times with the 911 just two-tenths faster than the GT-R.

Nissan will stage the world premiere of the Skyline GT-R at the 2007 Tokyo Auto Show this fall.

More images and another Edmunds video after the jump.

Oh man… This is one sweet car. While the LF-A and NSX may be faster, there is nothing that says Japanese super car like the GT-R. Count me in… Hell, give me two
