Spy Shots: 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee CRD

Jeep has taken its Grand Cherokee up to northern Scandinavia for cold weather testing of the 2008 model. But this isn’t any Grand Cherokee we’ve seen on the roads. Based on the lettering on the back, this is the Grand Cherokee CRD, powered by a 3.0L diesel built by Mercedes-Benz. The new diesel engine develops 215-hp and 376 lb.-ft. torque, and is coming to the States.
According to the photographer, the 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee will get a very minor facelift. Based on the camo, it looks like the bumper and below bumper areas will receive a few minor tweaks.
Chrysler announced last month that the 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee CRD, which arrives next month, will start at $38,475.
