Yesterday, we showed you two illustrations of the forthcoming Impreza WRX STi that came out of a Japanese magazine. Now the U.K.’s AutoExpress has its take on the next STi, which happen to look a lot like those from yesterday. We aren’t sure if this means both publications got the inside scoop from the same source, or if these are both accurate representations of the upcoming Impreza.

Either way, both sets of images are a vast improvement over the current model As expected, Subaru will dump former design boss Andreas Zapatinas’ unpopular airplane propeller grille. Inspired by the B5-TPH concept car, the new Impreza will be available as a new 5-door hatchback, featuring a more conventional front fascia and highly sculpted bodysides.

The 2008 Impreza will officially debut at the 2007 New York Auto Show in April. Until then, check out the illustrations.
