Spy photographers have caught the coupe variant of the BMW 1-Series during testing. The 1-Series originally available as a 5-door hatchback, recently added a 3-door hatch. It isn’t likely to stop here, with the coupe rumored to be spawning a soft-top convertible next year.
Based on the images, the 1-Series coupe is a nicely proportioned. Still fairly well disguised, the 1-Series coupe is expected to debut by the end of this year. If rumors that BMW’s 3.0L twin-turbo will be offered are true, the 1-Series promises to be a fun little car, and could finally be the long-awaited spiritual successor to the 2002.
