Lighter, faster and more powerful than the Bugatti Veyron, the Melling Hellcat could be the fastest road car ever built. Conceived by engine guru Al Melling, the Hellcat is powered by a quad-turbo 6.0L V10 developing 1,175-hp.

The Melling Hellcat makes extensive use of carbon fiber and aluminium, with a target weight under 2,800 pounds. With no luxury features, no climate control and no stereo, Melling says the Hellcat caters to purists whose priority is raw performance. Melling believes the Hellcat’s power, gearing and weight would allow it to reach 250 mph, but he is only claiming “only” a 225 mph top speed

All for about one third of the price of a Bugatti Veyron.
