For the third time (here and here) since Jaguar’s C-XF Concept debuted at the Detroit Auto Show we get spy shots of pre-production prototypes of Jaguar’s replacement for the S-Type sedan — the XF.

These spy shots of the XF show that while many of the styling cues from the C-XF will be toned down for production, the new sedan will bear a close resemblance to the concept, and little with any production Jaguar to date. The prototype in these shots maintains the concept’s high beltline, coupe-like profile — while more upright than the concept — and thin taillamps. As expected, the front end closely resemblances the concept, and the grille appears to be nearly identical.

The production version of the Jaguar XF is scheduled to debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show this fall.
