Subaru to unveil new Impreza in New York. Dropping WRX?
January 29, 2007 2:40PM by Michael Savio
UK’s Autocar is reporting that Subaru will debut the all-new 2008 Impreza at the New York Auto Show in April. The Impreza will only be available in a five-door hatchback — gone are the sedan and quasi-wagon — featuring styling cues expected to come from the B5-TPH concept (shown).
In a shocking report, Autocar says that Subaru will cancel the intermediate WRX model, and that the Impreza STi will not arrive until 2008. When the STi does arrive, it will feature even more extroverted styling than the current model.
We’ll just have to wait and see if Subaru will discontinue its extremely popular WRX model.
