After nearly doubling production from 2005, Spyker has said that it expects to post a profit for 2006. Spyker built 94 cars in 2006, up from 48 in 2005 and just short of its target of 100 vehicles.
“Spyker expects to end 2006 with a profit,” the company said in a statement. Spyker lost $1.4 million in the first half of 2006.
Spyker’s order book had grown to 327 cars at end of 2006 compared with 191 in 2005. Spyker expects its Formula 1 entry will help it attract even more new customers.
