Spy Shots: 2008 Ford Econoline
January 22, 2007 4:15PM by Michael Savio
Despite an exterior design virtually unchanged since its introduction in 1992, Ford’s Econoline vans continue to be a solid seller for the automaker. In 2006, Ford sold over 180,000 Econolines, up 0.5 percent from 2005 and the vans best year since 2000.
While redesigns are few and far between, they are rarely needed because of the lack of competition. But Ford is showing its big van some love with a new front end. As seen in this spy shot, the Econoline will get a more muscular grille and headlamps inspired by Ford’s forthcoming 2008 Super Duty trucks.
No word on exactly when it will debut, but expect to see the 2008 Ford Econoline later this year.
