Facelifted Nissan Titan debuting in Chicago

Nissan has said that it will unveil a facelifted Titan pickup truck at next month’s Chicago Auto Show. Sales of the Titan were down last year, and Nissan is facing a formidable challenge with Toyota’s new Tundra about to hit the market.
Toyota is planning to sell about 200,000 Tundras in 2007, and there is much debate over what automaker is vulnerable to Toyota’s sales push. Many observers expect the Tundra to steal sales from the domestics that dominate the segment. However, full-size truck buyers are a loyal group, and many analysts believe that many of the Tundra’s sales will come at the Titan’s expense.
If so, Nissan is going to need more than a facelifted Titan, to fight off the Tundra’s attack.
