Earlier this week, General Motors unveiled the Chevrolet Volt Concept, its newest electric car concept, at the Detroit Auto Show. The Volt concept features GM’s latest plug-in technology and runs solely on electricity to power the wheels.

The Chevrolet Volt concept could nearly eliminate going to the gas station with little or no sacrifice in performance. The assumuption behind the concept is that most people only travel a certain distance to get to work everyday, but there are day when you need the extra distance to do everyday errands.
