The new 2008 Volvo XC70 was caught on camera as the completed car came off the actual production line. The new XC70 and V70 are based on the Volvo’s S80 sedan instead of the S60. To go with the S80 platform, expect the XC70 to feature the same drivetrains as the sedan, with a range-topping model to feature a 315-hp V8.

The 2008 Volvo XC70 is expected to have its official unveiling at the 2007 New York Auto Show. Sales of the 2008 Volvo XC70 will start towards the end of the year.
