Detroit Auto Show: 2008 Lexus IS-F leaked early

Lexus won’t unveil its new sports sedan, the IS-F, until 11:25AM EST, but a few official images have leaked onto the web, no surprise. The all-new 2008 IS-F will target the BMW M3 and Audi RS4.
The Lexus IS-F will be powered by a 5.0L V8 producing 400-hp and 350 lb-ft of torque mated to the eight-speed automatic transmission from the Lexus LS460. In the IS-F, the transmission can be shifted with with paddle shifters. Othe performance hardware, includes 14.2-inch Brembo brakes, 19-inch BBS wheels, and a sport tuned suspension.
Up front, the IS-F gets a more aggressive front fascia, with a large lower grill and side air intakes. New side skirts incorporate an air vent behind the front wheels. Out back, the IS-F features a new rear fascia, staggered, quad exhaust tips and a small lip spoiler.
