Ford prices 2008 Super Duty trucks

Ford today announced pricing for its new 2008 Super Duty trucks. Featuring bold new exterior styling and a new interior, as well as an available new 6.4L Power Stroke diesel engine, the 2008 F-250 Super Duty will have a lower starting base price of $23,305 for a Regular Cab XL 4×2 model — compared to $23,455 for a 2007. Prices for the F-250 Super Duty will go up to $38,425 for a top of the line F-250 Crew Cab Lariat 4×4.

The 2008 F-250 Crew Cab Lariat 4×4 is priced $235 lower than the same 2007 model, but has $545 worth of new standard equipment, including trailer hitch, 18-in. versus 17-in. wheels, auxiliary audio input jack, rear seat ducts, SecuriLock®, and dual zone electronic automatic temperature control.

The new 6.4L Power Stroke diesel engine, delivers 350-hp and a whopping 650 lb.-ft. of torque while delivering a sharp decrease in particulates and emissions, is a now a $6,895 option, up from a $5,300 option for the 6.0L Power Stroke on 2007 models.

The 2008 Ford Super Duty trucks are now in production and will available in dealerships in the first quarter of 2007.

    Nice to see that Ford has kept the price down, while offering more standard features. But it is a little shocking to see the new Power Stroke is $1,600 more than last year’s diesel. But most of that is probably due to all the new emissions equipment.

    Thom, still shocking since most people were expecting new clean diesels to be about $1K more than the old dirty ones. If history repeats, Ford will still sell all the diesels it wants without the incentives of the gas models.
