Spy Shots: Pontiac G8 rear-wheel drive sedan
January 2, 2007 7:18PM by Michael Savio
With GM’s on-again off-again rear-wheel drive platform back on, and its first product the Holden Commodore already launched, General Motors has begun work on Pontiac’s rear-wheel drive replacement for the Grand Prix.
Likely to be called the G8 to fit with Pontiac’s current alphanumeric naming scheme, the G8 will get a new interior and exterior to set it apart from the Commodore. The Grand Prix replacement is expected to debut in concept form at the Chicago Auto Show in February, as indicated by Bob Lutz.
The Pontiac G8 will likely reach dealers sometime in 2008.
