Spy Shots: 2008 Dodge Magnum SRT8
December 19, 2006 6:47PM by Michael Savio
Spy photographers caught an undisguised prototype of the facelifted 2008 Dodge Magnum SRT8.
It’s easy to see the dramatic changes to the front end, including a downsized grille, new rectangular headlamps, a more aggressive lower fascia, and a hood scoop that looks exactly like the one on the Charger SRT8. While we don’t have shots of the rear, the shooters claim that the taillamps will also receive a few tweaks. The interior is also expected to receive some attention.
There aren’t any changes expected under the hood, with the SRT8 still powered by the 425-hp 6.1L HEMI. However, the five-speed AutoStick will get new programming for smoother and quicker shifts.
While we aren’t certain, we expect the facelifted Magnum to debut at the Detroit Auto Show, with production beginning in August.
