UPDATED: While the production quality of the commercial has professional ad agency feel, according to Ford spokeswoman Whitney Drake, this commerical was not produced by Ford’s ad agency. The fact that is not an official Ford ad clearly explains why a Shelby GT-H was used for a Shelby GT commercial.

We found this amusing Shelby GT commercial on the Shelby Automobiles website. Following up on the performance theme of Ford’s “Germany” ad for the Shelby GT500, this will likely help build a line for the upcoming Shelby GT.

We’re wondering why an ad for the retail Shelby GT uses the rental-only Shelby GT-H. Not that it is any less fun.
