An Italian car enthusiast caught — and snapped this single photo — what could be the Giugiaro Mustang during a stop for gas. The Giugiaro Mustang Concept is scheduled to be unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show later this month. The new Mustang Concept was designed by Fabrizio Giugiaro of ItalDesign fame. Speculation is the Giugiaro Mustang Concept is a preview of styling cues for the 2010 Mustang, some of which are borrowed from the Shelby GR-1 Concept — especially the kickup for the rear fenders

According to the photographer, the front of the car reminded him of the new Camaro, which could mean anything, but we are voting for short upper grille and recessed headlamps. The photographers also said that the car has a full glass roof integrated with the windshield.

According to a Ward’s Auto, the powerplant in the Giugiaro Mustang will be “the most powerful Mustang engine developed so far.” Cool.
