Fiat has announced that the forthcoming Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione will be extremely low volume, with a limited-edition of only 500 units to be produced. Shown in production form at the Paris Motor Show in September, the announcement confirms previous reports that Fiat was planning the 8C to be a limited production halo car.
The Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione will be powered a Maserati-sourced 4.6L V8, developing around 450-hp and 347 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine will be mated to a six-speed dual-clutch.
The production version of the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione is expected to launch as a 2008 model.
