SEMA: Hennessey to unveil Viper Venom 800R

Hennessey Performance Engineering (HPE) will unveil the Viper Venom 800R at this week’s SEMA Show. Decked out in screaming yellow paint, the Viper Venom 800R is powered by a massive 9.5L 810-hp with a matching 810 lb.-ft. of torque. As expected 810-hp reseults in amazing performance — 0-60 miles per hour in 2.9 seconds, and a quarter mile time of just 10.88 seconds at 136 mph on street tires. Top speed is on the far side of 230 mph.

October, 2006 - PRESS RELEASE - 585 CID Venom 800R with VenomAero Upgrade to Debut at 2006 SEMA Show
Houston, Texas - Hennessey Performance Engineering (HPE) will unveil its 585 CID (9.5 Litre) 810 HP normally aspirated engine upgrade and its VenomAero aerodynamic body system upgrade for the Dodge Viper SRT10 Coupe at the 2006 SEMA Show held in Las Vegas, October 31 - November 3, 2006.
The Venom 800R is capable of 0 - 60 mph in 2.9 seconds with a top speed of over 230 mph.
The VenomAero body upgrade for the Viper SRT Coupe is designed to improve front and rear downforce at speeds over 80 mph and consists of:
* VenomAero front bumper
* VenomAero rear Daytona spoiler
The Venom 800R will be unveiled at 10 am on Tuesday, October 31 at the Dupont Registry display. Dupont’s display, Booth #52011 is located in the Overhaulin / SEMA Studio at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
