Vauxhall will not get version of the Opel GT

Despite the fact that General Motors’ ‘global’ Kappa-platform sports car is coming to Europe as the Opel GT, it appears that a Vauxhall version will not be making it to the U.K. While Vauxhall’s bosses want to bring the droptop sports car to the U.K., they can’t make a financial case for converting the vehicle to right-hand drive.
But there is good news for the Brits, Vauxhall will get a re-badged Aussie-built Commodore as part of the brand’s VXR lineup. The new Aussie muscle car will be powered by a 362bhp 6.0L V8, and will come in a practical four-door body style.
