Spy Shots: 2007.5 Chevrolet Aveo hatchback
September 9, 2006 12:06PM by Michael Savio
Spy photographer Chris Doane caught snapped some images of the next Aveo hatchback. Following the recent release of the Aveo sedan, Chevrolet is preparing that car’s five-door brother.
Scheduled to be introducted in 2007 as a 2007 model vehicle, the Aveo hatch will see many of the same improvements that are seen on the sedan, including powertrain and interior. But the hatchback will get its own unique styling. Up front, there is a larger, more aggressive grille similar to what we’ve seen in spy shots of the next-generation Malibu. The Aveo adds a little sport with a two-slot side vent located above the repeater lamps. Out back, the Aveo will have round taillights with the lower lamp cutting into the the brake lamp above.
At a starting price under $10,000, the Aveo is still a value leader, but this time it looks like it is going to offer a little more style.
