Chrysler to recall over 180,000 vehicles

The Chrysler Group announced yesterday that it is recalling over 145,000 Dodge Ram pickups to replace the passenger air bags. “The passenger air bag may not be compatible with a limited number of rear-facing child seat models if the passenger seat is in the full forward position and an airbag deployment occurs,” Chrysler said.
The Chrysler Group will also replace the front passenger seat belt assembly in the same trucks and in an additional 15,151 vehicles, because the front passenger seat belt may not allow the owner to properly secure some child restraint systems.
Chrysler will also recall more than 35,000 Dodge Durangos to check their console wiring connectors, because of a wiring issue in the dash that, if liquid is spilled from the cup holder onto the console wiring connector, may cause an electrical fire.
