Ford will launch an month-end sales blitz, offering zero percent financing for up to 72 months for Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury buyers. The special interest rates will also be available to those with subprime credit ratings, not just customers in the top two tiers, as in past programs.

Ford’s offer begins on Thursday, Aug. 24, and runs through Labor Day, according to Automotive News. Ford notified dealers via a conference call on Tuesday. Nearly all 2006 vehicles — even high demand vehicles — will be included in the program. Dealers say the Ford GT and larger F-Series work trucks will be the only products exempt from the offer.
