Yesterday, General Motors unveiled the all-new light duty pickups based on the GMT900 and said the full lineup of of Silverados and Sierras would be available early next year. Based on these spy shots, the heavy duty trucks are well on their way.

It appears that the sheetmetal is mostly a carry-over from the light duty trucks but heavy duty trucks will have at least a few unique tweaks. Expect a more aggressive grille and headlights, which can be seen under the camo, and a larger hood bulge.

Powertrains are not expected to see any significant changes with class-leading horsepower (360-hp) and torque (650 lb.-ft.) out the Duramax. The base engine will likely be a 6.0L V8 with approximately 350-hp and 380 lb.-ft. of torque. While we won’t see it until the end of the decade, there are rumors of a twin-turbo Duramax with 750 lb.-ft. of torque.
