DaimlerChrysler to sell SMART in U.S.

According to reports, DaimlerChrysler is planning to bring its SMART brand to the United States in 2007. The Wall Street Journal is reporting that DaimlerChrysler will soon announce the launch of the SMART ForTwo in the U.S.

The SMART ForTwo is popular in Europe and initial sales in Canada have been good.

Earlier this month, DaimlerChrysler’s CEO, Dieter Zetsche, said that the company would decide in June whether to introduce SMART to the United States.
