Spy Shots: 2008 Cadillac CTS
June 20, 2006 12:48PM by Michael Savio
When General Motors’ Vice Chairman Bob Lutz and CEO Rick Wagoner teased us with what was thought to be the next-generation CTS on ‘60 Minutes,’ many were excited but most wanted to see more. Well, it appears that it was and here it is. The CTS is still disguised but now with a checkerboard paint scheme instead of the plastic baggy method of camouflage seen in previous spy photos.
From the photos, it looks like the 2008 CTS will offer a significantly more dramatic interpretation of Cadillac’s “Art & Science” design language. With a steeply raked windshield and rear window, the CTS will appear more coupe-like. Overall, the CTS will have a much cleaner and more muscular appearance.
With General Motors current drive to improve its interiors, expect the interior on the 2008 CTS to be much improved, with better ergonomics and much higher quality materials.
Is this the first Cadillac to offer true world-class luxury?
