Spy Shots: Lexus LF-A

Here are latest spy photos of a Lexus LF-A prototype at Germany’s Nurburgring circuit. There are plently of rumors about the final name of the production car including the LF-H and GT 500. Whatever the final name is, it is expected be powered by a V10 with at least 500-hp. The car is expected to be front-engined and rear-wheel drive. Lexus has promised that the LF-A will have “the ultimate weight balance”, “extravagant comfort” and “precision operation”.

The new photos some reveal some additional details including headlight detailing of the headlights, which are larger that the concept’s lights. In back, the test mule retains the center-mounted exhaust pipes, thin taillights and twin-tunnel diffuser, but notice the new powered spoiler.

There are rumors that Lexus could be offered with a folding hardtop to take on the Mercedes SL65 AMG, which only has a folding hartop, as well as the Ferrari F430 and Aston Martin DB9, which are offered in coupe and convertible versions.
